A member of the Hamas terrorist organization was killed Tuesday night when he was caught in a terror tunnel collapse in Gaza.

There were no details available on what caused the tunnel to collapse, according to a report posted on the Hebrew-language 0404 military news site.

Egypt has been flooding tunnels with sea water; Israel has employed a variety of technologies to identify and eliminate the tunnel threat from its side of the enclave.

In a separate incident, four other terrorists were injured when they attempted to throw homemade bombs at Israeli forces who were patrolling along the security fence on the Gaza border.

Local sources reported the bombs exploded prematurely in the hands of those who were trying to attack the Israeli soldiers, wounding the terrorists instead.
