Smoke trails are seen as a rocket is launched from the Gaza Strip to Israel on May 5, 2019.

Gaza terrorists launched a rocket attack against southern Israel on Wednesday night. It was the fifth rocket to be fired at Israel in six days.

Because the projectile landed in an open field, the Red Alert incoming rocket siren was not activated in any of the nearby communities, according to the IDF.

There were no physical injuries or property damage caused as a result of the rocket fire. It is not yet known whether any fires were ignited as a result of the rocket’s impact in the field.
