During the night, 40 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, operating under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Directorate, launched a large-scale assault on dozens of military targets across Tehran and other regions in Iran, deploying more than 100 munitions in a coordinated strike.

As part of the campaign—aimed at significantly disrupting the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program—one of the key targets was the nuclear reactor facility in the Arak region. The strike specifically targeted the reactor’s containment structure, a critical component in the production of plutonium, which is essential for manufacturing nuclear weapons. Although construction of the Arak reactor began in 1997, international pressure prevented its full completion. In recent years, Iran claimed to have converted the reactor to produce only low levels of plutonium unsuitable for weapons, but deliberately left the conversion incomplete, using its latent weapons capability as leverage against the West.

Last night’s strike was aimed precisely at the component responsible for plutonium production, rendering the facility unusable for future nuclear weapons development.

Simultaneously, Israeli aircraft struck a nuclear weapons development site in the Natanz area. This site reportedly houses specialized equipment and infrastructure used to advance Iran’s nuclear weapons program, including technologies designed to accelerate enrichment and weapons assembly.

The strikes also targeted a range of additional military-industrial sites, including facilities used to manufacture ballistic missile components, raw materials for missile assembly, and systems related to Iranian air defense and missile operations. Israeli forces destroyed air defense batteries, missile storage facilities, radar installations, and detection systems, further degrading Iran’s strategic capabilities.
