President Trump announced a ceasefire on Tuesday at 7:00 a.m., but in the moments leading up to its implementation, Iran launched six missile barrages toward Israel. A direct hit on a seven-story residential building in Beersheba killed four people and injured eight others. Additional reports indicated that other projectiles landed in open areas.
The MDA Spokesperson announced that following the missile fire toward the State of Israel, MDA teams were heading to search a site in the northern Sharon region where a suspected interception fragment had been reported.
The direct hit in Beersheba, which destroyed a bomb shelter crowded with civilians, came after three hours of relentless ballistic missile barrages from Iran, sending millions of Israelis scrambling repeatedly for cover as cellphone warnings followed by air raid sirens echoed across the country.
According to Magen David Adom, as of 7:45 a.m., the missile strike site in Beersheba has left four people dead, two moderately injured, and 20 others suffering from minor injuries and anxiety.

Shimrit Sela, a senior medic with Magen David Adom who responded to the missile strike in Beersheba, described a scene of chaos and destruction: “We saw thick smoke rising from the site, and as we got closer, we saw heavy damage to several buildings. A man was lying unconscious at the entrance to one of them, and inside we found both a man and a woman unconscious. We immediately set up a treatment station and began examining residents as they evacuated.”
In a separate incident, a 51-year-old man sustained a serious head injury while attempting to reach a protected area. He was evacuated to Rambam Hospital in serious condition. MDA paramedic Yosef Khodeintov recounted: “We found him unconscious, having hit his head while running for shelter. We provided life-saving treatment on the spot, including bleeding control and bandaging, and transported him to the hospital in stable condition.”
Eight minutes or so after the missile attack in Beersheba, President Trump posted on Truth Social (all caps): “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!”
