Israel and the Hamas agreed on Wednesday to a Gaza ceasefire deal, an un-named Palestinian official with knowledge of Egyptian mediation between the two sides told Reuters.

There was no immediate official confirmation of the news, which came on the eighth day of intensive Israeli fire on the Gaza Strip and terrorist rocket attacks out of the Gaza Strip.

  1. Although the cease fire doesn’t make the world a perfect place, for the moment, it certainly beats the alternative. Israel demonstrated what they could do in a technological war…should that ever become a reality. The folks in Tehran must have been impressed that not only could Israel deliver a bomb as accurately as the post office delivers a letter, they would take it upstairs to the bedoom if that is where the recipient was located!
