A flight attendant on El Al Airlines was hospitalized at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in Israel on Wednesday due to a suspected case of measles.
The woman was admitted to the hospital following El Al Flight LY002 departing JFK International Airport New York on March 26, arriving at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv on March 27.
The flight attendant’s condition is listed as serious; she was unconscious Wednesday evening, and receiving breathing support via a respirator.
Anyone who traveled aboard the above flight and suspects they have developed symptoms of the measles virus is advised to immediately contact your physician. In addition, if you believe you may have contracted the illness, or even suspect it is a possibility, it’s important to avoid public places where others might be at risk to exposure.
