Cuomo, he said, was “the son of immigrants who believed that diversity was our greatest strength and [who] was admired around the world. He deeply loved the family of New York and [his] eloquence and character inspired a nation.”

The tributes to Cuomo didn’t end there; on Tuesday this week, individual members of the State Assembly memorialized Mario Cuomo’s life and his service to New York as a three-term governor.
