Lake Kinneret.

The good news at Lake Kinneret (also known as the Sea of Galilee) is continuing, with the recent winter mix of snow and rain helping to increase the amount of water.

Over the past week, the level of the lake rose 6.3 inches, bringing the water level to just 4.5 feet from full capacity – at which point the Degania Dam would be opened to relieve the pressure and prevent flooding.

This week forecasters are calling for more rain in the north and center of the country, with precipitation predicted for Wednesday and Thursday.
