Iran: where does one even begin?

First, it’s crucial to understand that Iran is not the Iranian regime. When Israel acts against the regime, it does not target the Iranian people – many of whom actually support Israel and suffer under their own leadership.

Israel’s recent operation echoes a much older story: Purim. Then and now, a powerful Persian leader sought to annihilate the Jewish people. Then and now, the Jewish people fought back – weakening and ultimately eliminating that threat.

In the Purim story, it was Haman and his sons. Today, it’s the regime’s political and scientific leadership.

Iran was once a modern nation and an ally of the Jewish people. But since the Islamic Revolution, it has been radicalized, leaving its own citizens oppressed and the region destabilized.

Jewish scripture describes an end-times war between Edom (the West) and Yishmael and Persia – today embodied by radical Islam. This war is not about politics or borders. It’s ideological and religious.

Palestinian terror against Jews predates the modern State of Israel. In Hebron 1929, Jews were massacred decades before any so-called “occupation.” The offer of peace and a state has been extended many times – and always refused.

This is not about land. It is about the stated goal of radical Islam, led by Iran: to wipe Israel off the map, destroy the Jewish people, and move on to the rest of the West.

But just like in the Purim story, they will fail. And the Jewish people will not only survive – but thrive.
