As I am living in Israel and am subject to occasional missile launches which send myself, my family and all of us to the sealed room for 10-15 minutes, the word Iran has an immediate connection to Amalek. The government of Iran is financing all the terror countries around the Middle East. They want to wipe us off the map. They are funding everyone. This is the definition of evil.
And yet – Iran used to be Persia. The story of Purim. Esther and her son Coresh (Cyrus). It is through them that the second Beit HaMikdash was built. Where are the people that will represent Coresh? Is this the way it is supposed to be at the end of days?
I can only hope that the regime in Iran gets brought down and replaced by an Israeli-friendly government. What are the chances of that? At this point, not so good. But as long as we pray to Hashem, anything is possible!
