When I think about the Three Stooges, I think of funny noises and wacky, slapstick, silliness.

Just saying their names – Larry, Curly, and Moe – makes me smile.

To be honest, I don’t even know their work, movies or routines so well. They predate me – in my head they’re the silly trio that sometimes showed up on my TV screen, always in black and white. And that when they did, my dad would raise his head up out of the newspaper to watch.

But even though I never really watched them, and don’t really know them…their names still make be smile, almost like a reflex.

How remarkable.

What did they do so well that their legacy is that when I hear their names… I smile?

And what should I be doing here on earth so that when people hear my name…they’ll want to smile, too?
