And, of course, in September of 1971, the Jordanian military killed between 25 and 35 thousand Palestinians. And over the years, the Syrians and the Egyptians have been known to round up and execute groups of Palestinians, just to remind the rest of them who’s in charge.
Yet, the Palestinians are the most educated and most industrious Arab national group bar none. So why not add the 3 million or so Arabs outside the “green line,” which is an arbitrary armistice line drawn in Rhodes in 1949, to this Western style democracy?
Because once we did that, Iran, the U.S., Russia, China, Europe, could no longer meddle in the region’s affairs. And Arab despots from Morocco to Iraq would be exposed for the blood thirsty villains that they are. You thought the Arab Spring brought change? Wait and see how a Jewish democracy with a large Arab minority would revolutionize the region. And they fear that worse than they fear America.
Frankly, I’m unafraid of the “demographic bomb.” The Palestinian birth rate in Judea and Samaria has been going down in the past decade, in direct correlation with the rise in their standard of living. And a million Jews from France, the U.K. and the U.S. would easily offset even that.
But it would have to be a Jewish state, with the Law of Return and the Star of David on the flag, and HaTikva as the anthem.
