Israeli scientists taking part in a project simulates life in Mars, outside Mitzpe Ramon, southern Israel, February 18, 2018.

It’s been noted that despite its small size, as you travel around Israel, you can experience completely different climates just a few hours drive from one location to the next – snow on the Hermon, sun in Eilat, dry deserts, misty beaches… It turns out, now you can experience Mars too.

Israeli scientists are participating in the D-MARS project to simulate life on Mars. They’ve set up camp in a location near Mitzpe Ramon, in southern Israel.
