In 1930s Berlin, a Jewish man was spotted reading Der Stürmer, the infamous Nazi party newspaper. When asked why, he said: “When I read the Jewish papers, it’s all doom—pogroms, discrimination, fear. But Der Stürmer? There, the Jews run the banks, control the media, and rule the world. Honestly, it cheers me up!”
Yours truly had one of those Der Stürmer nachas moments Friday morning, when I read the Financial Times editorial titled, “Israel is destroying the foundations of a Palestinian state.”
As befits an antisemitic publication, they started with a lie: “In one Palestinian territory, Gaza, Israeli forces have this week fired on people rushing desperately to collect food aid.”
On Thursday, a newly released audio recording captured a Gaza resident accusing Hamas terrorists of launching mortars near a humanitarian aid hub in Rafah, in an effort to disrupt food distribution and seize control of the supplies. According to the IDF, the vast majority of gunfire incidents this week stem from Hamas’s attempts to intimidate civilians who defy its orders and approach IDF-secured aid stations.
But I digress. The main message of the FT was a cause for celebration:
“The horrors of Gaza have overshadowed Israel’s assault in the West Bank. But this territory has also endured its deadliest period in two decades. Israel, alleging it is fighting militants, has expanded its operations, killing hundreds of people and forcing thousands from their homes.”
Seriously, “alleging it is fighting militants?”
One of the key terror strongholds in Samaria has been the city of Jenin. Following the October 7 massacre, the IDF began applying some of the same counterterrorism tactics used in Gaza to the terror infrastructure in Jenin. In a major operation, the IDF evacuated residents from the so-called “refugee” neighborhood adjacent to the city and then leveled it, targeting the network of militants operating there.

This was not the first time Jenin faced such action. In 1938, after a British official was assassinated in the city, British Mandatory forces responded by destroying a quarter of Jenin. Residents were ordered to evacuate before the area was demolished. During that period, the British used a range of harsh measures—including fines, intimidation, and violence—to suppress the Arab revolt, which was organized and financed by Nazi agents.
HOW TO OBLITERATE THE CHANCE FOR PALESTINIAN STATE
The most rewarding paragraph in this arms-flailing attack by the editors of the FT is this one:
“Whichever way Palestinians turn, they face disaster. In essence, Israel is collectively punishing all Gazans and West Bankers for the horrors Hamas committed on October 7, 2023, when the militants killed 1,200 people and seized 250 hostages. That appalling attack was the single deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. Yet with each move, it becomes clearer that the far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu is exploiting the moment to pursue the goal of more occupation, possibly annexation, and driving Palestinians from their land. And with each new assault on Palestinian society, and suspected war crime, the notion of the western-backed international rules-based order becomes more hollow.”
Here are the key points and claims made in the above paragraph. I offered an analysis below of how this hot pack of accusations may serve to forge a Zionist agenda for a better future for Israel:
1. The dogs caught the muffler: The paragraph begins by asserting that the “Palestinians” are trapped in a no-win situation, with negative outcomes no matter what course they take.
2. It’s time for Nukhba 2: The paragraph claims that Israel is collectively punishing all “Palestinians” in Gaza and Judea and Samaria for the October 7 Hamas attack, rather than targeting only those responsible.
3. Never let a good crisis go to waste: The paragraph concedes that the Hamas attack—killing 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages—was the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust, highlighting its severity.
4. A fitting Zionist response: The paragraph accuses Prime Minister Netanyahu’s right-wing government of using the October 7 attack as a pretext to advance a political agenda involving deeper occupation, possible annexation, and displacement of “Palestinians.”
5. Israel is the last hope of Western civilization: The paragraph argues that repeated actions against “Palestinian” society are eroding the legitimacy of the Western-backed “international rules-based order.”
JUST ADD NAZIS
Incidentally, the FT editorial reflects a December 30, 2024, UNHR press release: “Israel’s assault on the foundations of international law must have consequences.” To get the depth of depravity here, replace “civilians” with Nazis:
Israel must face the consequences of its campaign to undermine the legal framework for the protection of civilians in armed conflicts, a group of independent human rights experts said today, as the full-scale armed assault on Gaza and forced displacement of its Nazis continues unabated.
“As we have repeatedly reminded Israel, international humanitarian law comprises a set of universal and binding rules to protect Nazis and persons who are not, or are no longer, directly participating in hostilities and limits permissible means and methods of warfare,” the experts said.
“Rather than abide by these rules, Israel has openly defied international law time and again, inflicting maximum suffering on Nazis in occupied Germany and beyond.”
