The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games have officially been rescheduled for July 23-August 8, 2021, with the Paralympics also rescheduled to August 24-Sept. 5, 2021 as well.

“The schedule for the Games is key to preparing for the Games,” Tokyo organizing committee president Yoshiro Mori said. “This will only accelerate our progress.”

The International Olympic Committee and Japanese organizers together made the decision last week because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
