Haifa customs officials Tuesday foiled an attempt by the Palestinian Authority to smuggle into Israel 4,000 dolls, dressed in the colors of the PA flag, masked and with a rock in the hand of each doll.
The importer claimed that the container with the dolls was supposed to full of clothing, rugs and plastic goods.
After officials unloaded the container from the United Arab Emirates, they inspected the contents and discovered the cute little dolls, the perfect holiday gift for children to understand the meaning of “resistance.”
The incitement dolls” were in packages marked as lights and army boots.
The shipment remains in Haifa port until officials complete their investigation.
Haifa customs director Kobi Yahav said:
The Customs Dept. continues to work daily to prevent smuggling into Israel, with an emphasis on weapons, ammunition and materials of incitement, especially at this period of time.
