Israel Flag Old City — An Israeli flag waves in the Old City of Jerusalem

An Israeli police officer was seriously wounded Friday night in a terrorist stabbing attack at the Chain Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem.

The terrorist, a resident of the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina, was shot and killed by other forces at the scene.

An investigation is underway.
