Likud Knesset member Oren Hazan was injured Thursday in a motor vehicle accident southeast of Tel Aviv after he was rear-ended while driving south on Highway 6 near the Ben Shemen interchange.

The incident is under investigation by police.

Hazan sustained minor injuries in the crash according to Magen David Adom medics who treated him at the scene before taking him to Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan. The lawmaker had injuries to his back and leg.

The accident comes less than a year after Hazan’s driving license was returned after it was suspended for a speeding violation.
