Israel Police announced on Wednesday that the attack on two guards at Ketziot Prison by Hamas prisoners last Saturday night (March 23) will be designated a terror attack.

The perpetrators are to be interrogated by investigators with the National Unit for Combating Serious and International Crimes, according to the Hebrew-language Walla! News site.

The inmates, members of the Hamas terrorist organization, are to be charged with attempted murder and planning a terrorist attack in Ketziot Prison. Their remand was extended until next Monday by the judge in the Ashkelon Magistrate’s Court.
