Yatta, Hebron region

Bahrain Street in the Palestinian Authority (PA) village of Yatta, in the Hebron area, will be renamed after Marzouq al-Ghanim, the speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, the local municipality announced Saturday.

The municipality decided on the street name change in protest of the Peace to Prosperity Workshop hosted by Bahrain and in honor of al-Ghanim, who came out against the summit and President Donald Trump’s Deal of the Century peace plan for the Middle East.

The decision, a copy of which was obtained by TPS, was signed by municipality head Ibrahim Abu-Zahara and was authorized by the PA.
