The State Prosecutor’s Cybercrimes division filed an indictment on Thursday in the Jerusalem District Court against a defendant for crimes of theft by a public servant, possession of secret information and the transmission of confidential information.

According to the prosecution’s statement, the defendant extracted information classified as “secret” and “extremely secret” and relayed it to another individual.

The suspect’s detention has been extended until further notice.

The case was investigated by the cyber crimes unit at Lahav 433 in the Israel Police.

All additional details have been placed under a gag order.
