Israeli forces have eliminated the terrorist who murdered Tzeela Gez and wounded her husband in a shooting attack as they were traveling to a delivery room for the birth of their fourth child.
The baby was born via Caesarean section and remains in serious but stable condition.
“As part of the IDF and ISA’s efforts to locate the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack in which Tzeela Gez was murdered, the IDF conducted targeted searches in the area of Bruchin, adjacent to the scene of the attack, with the direction of the ISA,” a joint statement said.
The IDF arrested several suspects on Saturday who were accused of involvement in the attack in an area near the scene of the attack, close to Bruchin, a spokesperson said.
During the arrest operation, a terrorist was spotted running towards the forces while holding a backpack suspected of being booby-trapped, shouting “Allahu Akbar” – the jihad war cry, “God is Great.”
The soldiers shot and killed the terrorist in response to the threat.
