Scene of the terror attack near Ariel. Feb 5. 2018

An Arab terrorist stabbed a man waiting at the bus stop just outside the city of Ariel at 2:26 pm Monday afternoon. The victim, in his 40’s, was treated at the scene before being evacuated to a medical center.

According to the Magen David Adom emergency medical service, paramedics were resuscitating the victim, who was stabbed in his upper body and reported to be unconscious. He was evacuated in critical condition.

Update: The victim has died from his wounds. He has been identified as Itamar Ben-Gal, a father of four from Har Bracha.

The terrorist was armed with two knives. After the attack the terrorist then fled, but an IDF officer saw the terrorist running with the knives and hit him with the car.

The terrorist got up and continued running, with the officer in pursuit. The officer hit him again. The terrorist got up again and escaped into the Arab village of Kifl Harith.

The IDF is searching the village for the terrorist.
