Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Belsky

The condition of Rabbi Yisroel Belsky, dean of the Yeshiva Torah Vodaas in Brooklyn, NY, continued to deteriorate Thursday, and he was moved to a different hospital in the hope of controlling his situation and building up his strength. The yeshiva sent out a mailing before Shabbat, saying the move has not been easy and asking for people who care for Rabbi Belsky to pray for his quick recovery.

Yeshiva students as well as many other local Jewish residents have been gathering in groups to recite the Psalms together, and to beseech God to heal him. They request every Jew to pray and recite the Psalms on behalf of Chaim Yisroel ben Chana Tzirel,”L’refuah shelaimah b’soch sh’ar cholei amo Yisroel.”
