Orthodox Man Shot in Drive By Outside Young Israel of Greater Miami

An Orthodox Jewish man, 58, was shot several times in his leg from a moving car outside Young Israel of Greater Miami at 990 NE 171st St. at 6:30 PM Sunday, local media reported.

The man, Yosef Noach ben Leah Tzivyah (H/T Yeshiva World), was waiting for Mincha service.

Luckily, there was a Hatzolah volunteer inside the building, who helped the victim and alerted emergency medical services and police. According to Miami-Dade police, the victim was taken to Aventura Medical Center, and is in stable condition.

Police are yet to determine whether the shooting was a hate crime.
