I’ve always been the kind of girl who reserved sneakers for the gym. I had one pair of Nikes that were reserved for my workouts and spent the rest of my days in ballet flats or heels for Shabbos.

But I envied the effortless “Parisian chic” vibe with women pairing their dresses and skirts with sneakers. I’ve always felt too short to pull off sneakers with my dresses, thinking it made me look short and frumpy. But while sneakers with my dresses might not elongate my body the way other shoes might, my approach to fashion has changed over the years. I spend less time worrying about what’s conventionally flattering and more time putting outfits together that put a smile on my face or feel like “me.”

If you’re looking to add some cute sneakers to your wardrobe, I’m sharing some of my recent favorites that would look really cute with your favorite dresses and skirts.

My Keds sneakers are my most recent purchase. The Keds brand is a blast from the past, and they have been doing some fun collaborations with other designers and artists. Two of my current favorite collaborations are with Rifle Paper Co. and Kate Spade. The glittery details and whimsical prints of the Kate Spade sneakers elevate a simple denim dress or easy, maxi dress. The gorgeous floral prints and fun patterns from Rifle Paper Co. are unique but wearable!

Another great sneaker brand to consider is Soludos. They’re a bit chunkier than Keds and some of their current selections have fun but wearable embroidery additions. You can also choose a plain white pair if you prefer something simpler. My current favorite Soludos sneakers are a metallic gold and I receive compliments every time I wear them.

One last sneaker brand I’ve been loving is Superga. I don’t own any yet but they’re on my wish list! They have a new pair with an ultra-feminine grosgrain lace but also have more classic sneakers in a variety of colors.
