CBS’s Katie Couric introduced a story on the Islamist organization by saying they’ve “been vilified,” and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the House Intelligence Committee the Muslim Brotherhood – whose motto states, “Jihad is our way” – is “largely secular” and has “eschewed violence.”

On a recent Friday, a crowd estimated as high as 2 million gathered in Tahrir Square to hear a sermon by the Brotherhood’s “spiritual godfather” Qaradawi, who has praised the Holocaust, called on Allah to “kill [the Jews] down to the very last one,” and urged the murder of Americans, apostates, and homosexuals.

Google executive Wael Ghonim, who had risked his life to lead the revolution while Qaradawi watched from Qatar, was blocked from speaking by Qaradawi’s security and reportedly left in distress. The crowd chanted, “To Jerusalem we are heading, Martyrs in the millions.” This momentous event – signaling that the hugely popular Muslim Brotherhood’s goals have not changed since their alliance with the Third Reich – was ignored by the media, since it did not fit their desired storyline.

Among the many things for which Qaradawi’s followers could say a prayer of gratitude, perhaps the most miraculous is the immeasurably helpful whitewashing of their image by the Obama administration and media.
