When the driver noticed a Border Police jeep blocking his path, he accelerated towards the village of A-Zaim and hit the jeep and a police vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Two border policemen in their 40s sustained light injuries to their limbs. They were treated at the scene by Magen David Adom and taken to Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital.

Police said that forces were searching the area to locate the suspected assailants and their vehicle, stressing that all possible motives were being investigated.
