Fire at IDF Tel Aviv Headquarters

kirya fire

The Kirya, the IDF’s military headquarters, and Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv suffered a major fire in the dining hall of the base, on Wednesday morning.

Thick black smoke from the fire can be seen for miles.

Large firefighting forces are operating at the base. There are no reports of injuries.

After many years in which the IDF was publicly criticized for maintaining its headquarters, including highly visible communication devices, in the heart of the most densely populated city in Israel–exposing thousands of civilians to a possible attack, the IDF is now in the process of moving its main high command operations to the more sparsely populated Negev in the south.

  3. I hope the fire was an accident and not sabotage. In any case it prudent and high time for this HQ to be moved to a less populated area.

  4. Aldo Mimoun says:

Indeed Tel Aviv with its high rise buildings and dense population is more than likely the main target of Hezbollah, Hamas and the rest.

  5. Ronny Mol says:

    Dear Cheryl,
It is unbelievable that people choose to go against G-d's chosen people, the Jews. Here is one for you. Go to http://www.divineinformation.com click on the debate between the Rabbi and the Christian Professor.

  6. I hope Hezbollaah,Hamas and others will hold their peace, and try to live side by side in peace, becouse war will not give any advantage at all for who live in the ragions.
