We didn’t expect the war update to come like this. We had been preparing for the Pulse of Israel 3rd Annual Conference, themed “A Light Unto the Nations.” Instead of convening thought leaders at Jerusalem’s Begin Center, we found ourselves hosting an emergency war briefing online—because the war came to us. Again.
The purpose of our gathering was unchanged: to shine a light on Israel’s vital role in today’s world. And what was shared during that conversation needs to be heard far beyond our borders—by anyone who still believes in truth over lies, good over evil, and civilization over barbarism.
Because this war is not just about Israel. It’s a battle that will shape the fate of the free world.
MK Amit Halevi, chairman of the Knesset Subcommittee for Strategic Defense and Armament, laid it out clearly: the goal must be total victory—not just over Hamas, but over the Islamic Republic of Iran. These are not isolated threats. Iran arms, funds, and inspires the radical Islamic death cult that fuels terror across the Middle East and far beyond.
But Halevi went deeper. Iran’s regime is just the engine. The real enemy is the ideology it powers: a fanatical, expansionist doctrine that manifests in Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Qatar’s Al Jazeera, the Muslim Brotherhood, and yes—even on college campuses in the West. It’s the poison that trained the Oct. 7 attackers—and that has infected progressive parties and some conservative circles with dangerous delusions.
Defeating Iran is essential. But dismantling this ideology is the long-term mission.
Dr. Mordechai Kedar, one of Israel’s leading experts on Islam and the Middle East, offered a compelling strategic forecast. He believes the Iranian regime will eventually surrender unconditionally—not because it wants peace, but because it will have no choice. Yet, he warned, surrender is not the end. The regime, even in defeat, will continue trying to develop nuclear weapons and pursue the destruction of Israel and the West.
This must weigh heavily in any future diplomatic decisions—especially if the U.S. accepts a surrender deal that allows the regime to stay in power. Kedar added that ethnic minorities across Iran—Kurds, Azeris, Baluchis, and others—will likely rise and form independent states, as seen in post-Soviet and post-Yugoslav models. Whether this leaves the Islamic Republic controlling a smaller territory or brings about its total collapse remains to be seen.
The broader message is clear: ideological threats don’t vanish with borders or ceasefires. They must be actively uprooted, discredited, and replaced with something better.
This is why Israel’s mission in this war matters beyond our borders. We’re not just fighting for survival. We are shaping the outcome—for ourselves, and for the future of Western civilization.
And while media headlines may not show it, the geopolitical reality is this: Israel’s fight aligns with America’s core strategic interests. Weakening Iran disrupts the Iran–Russia–China axis, cuts off Chinese oil access, and reestablishes U.S. influence in the Middle East. Whether or not America joins the battlefield, this war is redrawing the balance of global power.
The world may not fully grasp it yet—but Israel isn’t asking for rescue. We’re leading the rescue. Of ourselves. Of the West. Of the values we still claim to believe in.
To those still watching from the sidelines: it’s time to choose a side. Not just in words, but in clarity, in courage, and in action.
We are not victims. We are not passive. We are fighters. And with God’s help—we are winning.
Join us for the upcoming conference, after we reschedule due to the war.
