Dr. Morris’s study shows that God, who designed the mechanism, apparently knew a few things about His creation that the rest of the world is still discovering. Having made the choice Nash rhymes for us, it was the Jews who became mandated to perform male circumcision 3800 years before doctors were able to figure out why it is a good idea. That, of course, is not odd at all, if you think about it. But then many people aren’t really thinking, they’re just hating.
In prescient words directly applicable here, the yiddishist Leo Rothstein answered William Norman Ever even better than did Nash, and simultaneously explained what is animating the actions of the European Community and lots of other foolish and malevolent people — “not odd of God; goyim annoy’im.”
Apparently many are still trying to do just that. Maybe Dr. Morris’s study will persuade a few such people to find something better to do with their time.
