Knife secreted in terrorist's school bag

Israeli Border Guard Police foiled a terrorist attack at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Tuesday.

The would-be attacker was a 15-year-old Arab resident of Hebron who attempted to enter the site with a knife in his schoolbag.

The weapon was discovered during a search of the teen’s belongings; his behavior had raised suspicions, leading police to detain him at the security checkpoint.

The suspect was transferred to IDF custody for questioning.

Police said this was the second such event in recent days at the site.
