The appointment of Amir Weissbrod as the new Israeli Ambassador to Jordan has been approved by the Hashemite Kingdom.

A message was sent from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry to that of Israel, conveying the acceptance of the Amman government, after all diplomatic procedures for Weissbrod’s appointment were completed, according Jordan’s Petra news agency.

Weissbrod replaces Einat Schlein, who was forced to step down after the Jordanian government refused to allow her return following a shooting incident last summer at the Israeli embassy in Amman.
