Israel Police and Shin Bet intelligence agents announced Thursday that they have foiled a planned terrorist attacks in Jerusalem.

Two terrorist suspects were arrested last month in connection with a plan to attack Israeli security forces in eastern Jerusalem.

An explosives lab being used by the suspects was also discovered during the search of an apartment in the northern Jerusalem Arab neighborhood of Shuafat.

Israel Police said the two suspects confessed to having contact with Palestinian Authority terrorist operatives who planned a shooting attack to draw Israeli forces into the apartment prior to detonating the explosives created there.
