Drivers in Israel who were caught speeding on the nation’s highways over the past 13 months had reason to celebrate this week.

Israel Police announced Tuesday that all speeding tickets since June 2018 have been canceled due to a question about the reliability of the nation’s speed camera system.

However. Yes, there is always a catch.

Effective this Tuesday, July 23, 2019, all tickets issued using those very same speed cameras will now be enforced.

The only difference is, law enforcement officials are now adding “new layers of evidence-gathering” to their presentations at traffic court, so drivers, beware!
