Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been found by the Environmental Protection Office.

The problem was discovered during routine checks in three locations in Israel: in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Neve Yaakov, in the community of Taibe, near Sha’ar Ephraim, and at Nahal Poleg, south of Netanya.

The EPO has instructed local authorities in those areas to broaden its testing of mosquitoes in response to the findings.
