Herzog and his wife, First Lady Michal Herzog, were at the medical center to launch its fourth COVID-19 vaccination campaign and to receive their own fourth vaccine shots – each receiving the second booster in the inoculation series against the coronavirus.

The president addressed Israeli citizens in Hebrew, English and in Arabic (he is fluent in all three languages), saying, “Omicron is spreading throughout Israel and may reach every house in Israel. There is no other choice—go out and get vaccinated!”

The Director-General of the hospital, Prof. Yoram Weiss, added that Hadassah Hospital is ready to serve the residents of Jerusalem, “especially in tackling the coronavirus pandemic and vaccinating patients, employees, and the public.

“Everyone who is exposed to the danger of COVID and meets the criteria—come and get vaccinated,” Weiss urged.
