PM Netanyahu visits soldiers wounded in Jenin, including Dago from the Oketz K-9 unit. June 19, 2023

Along with the seven Israeli security personnel who were wounded in Monday morning’s clashes in Jenin was a dog from Oketz, the Israel Defense Force’s K-9 unit, Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center said.

A CT scan of the dog, Dago, confirmed a fracture in the dog’s pelvis and internal bleeding.

The Oketz unit’s veterinarian decided to treat Dago with sedation and rest. The dog is lying on the bed of the soldier who fought with him. According to the hospital, the soldier, a sergeant, is lightly wounded while Dago is moderately injured.
