Pisgat Ze'ev, Jerusalem's largest residential neighborhood.

The Jerusalem municipality planning commission on Wednesday will approve a plan to build 212 housing units in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods of Pisgat Ze’ev and Ramat Shlomo. It will be the first large-scale construction plan set in motion since President Trump’s inauguration.

President Trump is on the record as preferring that Israel halt construction in the liberated territories in order not to jeopardize the renewal of peace negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.
