A Crown Heights Shul was burglarized on Friday night and the thief made off with the silver crown of the Sefer Torah, tools, a guitar and other items of value, crownheights.info reported.
The theft occurred in Chevra Ahavas Yisroel on Albany Avenue and Lincoln Place, and was discovered Shabbat Morning when the Shuls Rabbi, Rabbi Chezzi Denebeim, arrived before Davening.
“The Aron Kodesh was wide open and things were thrown around” said Rabbi Denebeim, “the basement was also broken into and construction tools and well as musical instruments are missing.”
The Rabbi estimated the loss in the tens of thousands of dollars.
