The high tension wire running through the hearts and minds of Israeli blew a fuse Thursday morning when female soldiers on a train north of Haifa thought they spotted an Arab with a knife.

They screamed “terrorist,” and a soldier acted quickly and fired a shot in the air.

A passenger pulled the emergency brake, people ran as fast as they could, and police arrived, only to discover that there was no terrorist.

Seven passengers suffered bruises and shock, but these days, better safe than sorry, or dead.
