Anti-Zionism is Antisemitism

An antisemitic vandal targeted four prominent Jewish sites in central Paris early Saturday, including France’s Holocaust Memorial Museum, two synagogues and a kosher restaurant.

All four Jewish sites were defaced with green paint, police sources confirmed.

A police patrol discovered the vandalism. Security footage from a location near the Holocaust museum at around 4:30 am revealed the perpetrator, dressed in black, spraying green paint.

The incidents prompted condemnations from government officials and local authorities.

“I am deeply disgusted by these heinous acts targeting the Jewish community,” French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said in a statement on the X social media platform.

Retailleau announced renewed orders for heightened surveillance in anticipation of the upcoming Jewish Shavuot holiday, in a separate message seen Friday by the AFP news agency.

“Antisemitic acts account for more than 60 percent of anti-religious acts, and the Jewish community is particularly vulnerable,” he underscored.

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo likewise condemned the vandalism. “I condemn these acts of intimidation in the strongest possible terms. Antisemitism has no place in our city or in our republic. We will file a complaint,” she said.

There was no comment from the Israeli Embassy in Paris.
