This is not a new scenario, and the terrorist organization has intensified its efforts to sabotage the new US-run humanitarian aid program, which employs American security contractors. Thus far, Hamas has failed in its efforts to disrupt the new program.

“Hamas is a brutal and murderous terrorist organization that is starving the residents of Gaza,” the IDF said, adding that Hamas is “doing everything in its power to prevent the successful distribution of food in Gaza.”

Earlier in the day on Sunday, international media published fake news reports disseminated by the terrorist organization claiming the IDF had attacked and killed Gazans who were collecting aid from a US-run distribution center in the enclave.

The IDF immediately investigated the reports, and found them to be another Hamas disinformation effort.

“False reports have been spread, including serious allegations against the IDF regarding fire toward Gazan residents in the area of the humanitarian aid distribution site in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said.

“Findings from an initial inquiry indicate that the IDF did not fire at civilians while they were near or within the humanitarian aid distribution site and that reports to this effect are false.”

Tens of thousands of food boxes were given to Gaza civilians last week by the US-run Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) that manages four humanitarian aid distribution centers in southern Gaza, including three in Rafah. The new program has resulted in reduced prices at the markets in Gaza, where many of the goods intended for civilians that were stolen by Hamas terrorists and allied gangs are being sold, often at exorbitant prices, providing local financing for the terrorists.

“The IDF is cooperating with the American civil organization (GHF) and international aid organizations in order to enable the distribution of aid to the Gazan residents — and not to Hamas,” the IDF emphasized.

“Hamas does everything in its power to undermine food distribution efforts in the Gaza Strip. Hamas is a brutal terrorist organization that starves and endangers the population in order to preserve its control over the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said.

The military called on the media to be “cautious with information published by the Hamas terrorist organization.”
