Judaism has much to teach on this subject, and there is even a connection in the weekly Torah portion of Vayigash. We learn how Yehuda (Judah), the brother of Yosef (Joseph) steps up and takes responsibility, which not only brings restoration to his family, but brings him a legacy of kings.
