Nidal Hasan, the jihadist former U.S. military psychiatrist who shot 31 people, murdering 13 at the Ft. Hood military center in Texas in 2009, sent a threatening letter to Pope Francis. Hasan’s letter to the Pope glorified jihad, and lauded believers willing “to fight for All-Mighty Allah,” according to a Fox News exclusive.

The murderous rampage of Hasan, whose U.S. army military business cards had the acronym “SoA,” for Soldier of Allah, has been classified by the U.S.  military as “workplace violence.”

The U.S. Senate, however, released a report describing the massacre as “the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil since September 11, 2001.” In his epistle to the head of the Roman Catholic Church, Hasan refers to himself repeatedly as an “SoA.”

Hasan admitted the shootings at his trial and is currently incarcerated, awaiting execution as appeals continue.

The hand-written six-page letter is titled “A Warning to Pope Francis, Members of the Vatican, And Other Religious Leaders Around the World.”

Hasan directed his lawyer, John Galligan, to mail the letter to the Pope. Galligan also provided a copy of it to Fox News, presumably with Hasan’s permission.

Galligan explained Hasan’s latest letter as proof of “how much of his life, actions and mental thought process are driven by religious zeal.”

The letter to the Pope “also reinforces my belief that the military judge committed reversible error by prohibiting Major Hasan from both testifying and arguing how his religious beliefs” were the motivations for Hasan’s attack on Fort Hood, Galligan said.

In this letter, Hasan describes the beauty and importance of jihad, which he describes as a test that elevates the “mujahadeen” who “are encouraged to inspire the believers.”

Hasan also expressed his belief – stated as fact – that mujahadeen fighters “have a greater rank in the eyes of Allah than believers who don’t fight.”

In a separate letter Fox News acquired just a few months ago, Hasan pledged his allegiance to ISIS and its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

During his trial, Hasan’s lawyers attempted to make what Neal Sher, a lawyer representing the victims’ families, called a “defense-of-others” plea. In other words, he was protecting his “brother” genocidal jihadists such as al Qaeda and now ISIS.

“His jihadist leanings and willingness to commit jihad were known for years before the 2009 atrocity,” Sher told Fox News. “And ever since then, he has made it abundantly clear he believes in jihad and has attempted to justify the slaughter that took place at Fort Hood.”

The administration’s refusal to classify Hasan’s rampage as an act of terrorism, even in the face of the terrorist’s admissions, has been a source of ridicule. Some people put President Obama’s insistence that the “Islamic State” has nothing to do with Islam in this same category of refusal to recognize reality for fear of being politically incorrect.

  1. What more evidence do we need that the currant Democrat Administration is either insane – just dumb dumb – or calculating to achieve their goal destroying the culture of the Greatest Country on Earth ?

  2. this administration is culpable in the terrorist murders of thirteen innocents who were unarmed. the piece of sht in their midst was well known as a muslim nutcase yet they did nothing at all to deter him. he's having himself quite a good time as a result of this bizarre "president" and "attorney general".

  3. Mariana.

If the Vatican wakes up to protect all the Christians in the world, will the Vatican also wake up to protect Israel and Jews from Islamic and Christian hatred, and stop blaming Israel for the wars, by protecting itself against terrorism?

When will the Christian world wake up and realise that their best friends are the Jews and Israel, and that the Arabs and Muslims are the real enemy?

In the entire Middle East, Israel is the only country where the Christians are fully safe and protected.

  4. I served my country 37 years and was proud of it but today I would never have anything to do with our wimpy military. We have a president who is “Commander in Chief” but has never served in the militaqry. All of our top military commanders are ass kissers, more interested in “political correctness” than in supporting the US Constitution. This creep should have faced the firing squad the day after the attack in Fort Hood, Texas.

  5. Diana Horton – I completely understand your frustration. However, keep in mind that making even veiled threats against the President of the United States regardless of their party affiliation or political leanings is a class D felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871 and can quite possibly get you a friendly visit from the Secret Service.

  8. Can someone please tell the Pope without hope that our Lord is no more on the Cross he is risen ,he needs to wear a cross that signifies Hope for our Lord will judge him soon

  9. Nidal’s moment in the sun has passed. He failed. Now he needs to die. His attorney should also be aware that he helped deliver a threat to the Pope. That Nidal deserves a defense is based on American law that says we all have the right to one, but it is a stretch that this part is all right because of attorney-client privilege.

  10. Somehow the Christian world needs to be made aware that the Jihadist struggle is not a Jewish issue but an issue of survival of Western(Judeo-Christian) civilization. It.It is war of the Apocalypse . They need to become aware of the treatment of Christians by Jihad such as IS and Hamas. They need to see what happened to the Christian towns and villages conquered by IS. In the world of public opinion,I think the Jihadists will not be condemned for their behavior. Their advantage is that they are not Jews. If Jews swept through Christian villages killing everything and everyone, the entire Christian world would be exploding in rage against us and Israel would be invaded by 25 Christian armies.. The Jihadists are going to escape Christian wrath because they are not Jews. For non Jews the Christian world turns the other cheek. For us they condemn us for imaginary crimes we never committed.

  11. ISIS has been murdering Christians and Yazidis as well as Jews in their rampage. I’m well aware of the risk to Christians. The group considers them to be “infidels” worthy of death. Even other Muslims, including believers in Saudi Arabia which is one of the strictest Muslim nations have condemned them. ISIS is a danger to everyone on the planet, not just places like Syria, Iraq and Israel. They need to be dismantled and soon. Or there could easily be an Apocolypse …

  12. Pope Francis is someone who LIVES his faith, rather than just preach and teach it from a pulpit somewhere. The righteous come in ALL faiths and from any nation. He’s come the closest to the true nature of his faith than anyone I’ve seen in my lifetime.

  17. A Catholic wrote the book I know it well. Like the Koran it may be interpreted many ways. Like the Ethiopian in Acts 8 you need someone to guide you in your understanding of the scriptures. I would argue that your present guide, if you have one, is as blind as you.

  19. Jackie Rozell It's more a matter of generals' seeking to avoid anything that might blot their escutcheons; having to fire someone implies there is something wrong with a general. So what was done was to transfer this psychiatrist from Washington DC to care for deranged Texans.

  20. Ani Stubbs according to news reports, the Muslim Turk shooter said if given the chance he would do it again. So he is in prison for life and the Italian people have to pay for his health and welfare. Too bad that money can’t be used to help the poor Italian Christians. He has been in jail for how long? How much does it cost a year to keep him well fed?
