A Negev Bedouin in his 20s arrested Wednesday after attempted to enter the central bus station in Be’er Sheva with a knife.

The weapon was discovered during a routine search of the man’s bag.

The suspect threw the knife and tried to flee when security guards detained him for questioning.

Local police recovered the weapon. The man, a resident of the Bedouin town of Kuseife, is being held for further questioning.
