The IDF on Tuesday morning confirmed that its drone was downed in the southern Gaza Strip during the night.

Gaza media reported Monday night that Hamas fighters had downed an IDF drone that was traveling in an area east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to those reports, Hamas soldiers deployed along the border with Israel fired at the drone, which resulted in its downing. They then overtook it.

On Monday, Hezbollah reported it had shot down an Israeli drone as it crossed the border with Lebanon in the Ramyeh village area in southern Lebanon. The IDF confirmed that an Israeli drone was shot down and stressed that there was no fear of information being exposed. (See: IDF Confirms Hezbollah Downed Drone)
