IDF tanks head to Gaza border

The Israel Defense Forces attacked a Hamas drill site and military structure overnight in response to a rocket attack fired at southern Israel shortly before pm Sunday evening.

The Red Alert incoming rocket siren sent hundreds of families in the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council district racing for cover, some of them out into the cold and rain.

According to the IDF one rocket was launched from Gaza into Israeli territory, and landed in an open area. No property damage was reported and no one was physically hurt in the attack.

The rocket and mortar attacks are being launched on a more or less daily basis; but balloon bombs are being flown into Israeli territory daily by the dozens.
