Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro is cutting his visit to Israel short by one day, according to a report late Monday night by Channel 13 News.
Bolsonaro reportedly canceled a meeting with immigrants to Israel from Brazil. No reason was given for the decision.
Earlier in the day, the Brazilian leader toured the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem, together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Bolsonaro and Netanyahu signed a raft of bilateral agreements between Brazil and Israel on the first day of Bolsonaro’s visit to Jerusalem. Among the pacts that were signed were agreements on Defense, Health, Science and Technology, Air Services, Public Security and Cyber.
The Brazilian leader was not scheduled to visit the Palestinian Authority, nor meet with any PA officials, on this trip.
