Bolsonaro’s visit to the Western Wall — which is located in the Old City of Jerusalem — is a clear statement of support for Israeli sovereignty over the entire capital.

The Palestinian Authority has expressed outrage over Bolsonaro’s visit to the Western Wall, and the decision to establish a diplomatic mission for Brazil in the capital. In response, the PA representative to Brazil is being recalled for “consultations.”
